the luckiest girl alive
Posted on 6 July 2011
I write this blog having never been happier. I am in the new cycle of having my evenings back after 5 years of night radio. A change I am so blessed to have been given. I am the new host of The Week End Breakfast Show on East Coast Radio 6am-10am every Saturday and Sunday morning. I have always loved morning radio - the energy and vibe is electric. I feel so alive.
This now leaves my weeks wide open to dive into creative adventures - one of which is my own website. Only a few days old, it is my latest passion project - updated daily. When you have a gap please go and check out www.janelinleythomas.co.za. Here you will find a window into my world.
Adding to my grin, I am 10.6 kgs down and heading for gold in a far out fashion. Its hard to put into words the profound impact this transformation has had. Add a week full of family togetherness and a weekend job I have always dreamed of and it's clear to see why I feel like the luckiest girl alive.
This time last year I was less than a month away from giving birth to my boy - it's mind blowing how fast it has sped by. I fall in love with my little man every day all over again. Sheesh he is SO busy. From 5:30am he is go-go-go until he collapses after his bath and bottle at night. He is such a wonderful little dude - he is our everything.
