Time To Remember the 80s!

The Crazy 80's show at Elizabeth Sneddon TheatrreIt's time to bring out the tights, the oversized t-shirts, the leg-warmers and plastic bling and head to the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban for an evening of the very best of the 80's as Centrestage present "The Crazy 80's"!

Anyone who remembers the names Duran Duran, Eurythmics, AHA, Talking Heads, Wham and  Bananrama, is definitely a child of the 80's and will certainly enjoy this musical trip down memory lane.

On opening night many audience members came dressed 80's style and most of us toe-tapped (and danced) our way through the musical numbers.

Whilst the show is more conducive to a supper-theatre setting where you have a bit more flexibility to get up and boogie, the show offers a great, fun night out and is bound to bring back memories of a misspent youth!!!

Other 80's hits include "Come On Eileen" from the Dexys Midnight Runners, a stunning version of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time", a sexy Madonna medley and great tributes to Michael Jackson's 80's tunes as well as Bob Marley, which had the crowd really rocking.  If it was a hit in the 80's you will find it in this show.
Mark Banks appearing at Crazy 80s - Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre
A highlight of the show is Mark Banks and his acerbic wit.  Banks has the audience in stitches each time he comes onto stage - a way of giving the band a break and costume change time.  But well worth it, as always, touching on current news topics - the name "Julius "features regularly -  and hysterical references to people and places of Durban.

It certainly makes for a great night out - be it a hot date with hubby or your partner, or gather a group of friends and go and have some fun!
